Committed to Continuous Training

Training isn’t optional; it’s critical. As Sheriff, I will ensure our Deputies are consistently trained and ready, because the safety of our officers and our community depends on it.

In this line of work, situations can change in seconds. The difference between a good outcome and a bad one often comes down to preparation. Regular, high-quality training builds confidence, sharpens decision-making under stress, and ensures Deputies know how to respond the right way when it matters most.

Training also strengthens communication, de-escalation skills, and teamwork, helping resolve situations safely whenever possible. It protects not only the public, but the men and women who put on the badge every day.

When we invest in training, we invest in safer outcomes, stronger leadership, and a department our community can trust. That will always be a priority for me as Sheriff
