Thank you for visiting my campaign website. I’m Adam Gunderson, and I’m running for Clearwater County Sheriff because our communities deserve experienced, accountable leadership that puts people first.
I’ve spent more than 25 years in law enforcement and 21 years serving in the Minnesota National Guard. I’ve dedicated my life to protecting and serving others.
I began my career as a Patrol Officer and spent over two decades as a Police Chief. Leading departments, managing budgets, overseeing training, and ensuring day-to-day operations ran professionally and responsibly.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked side by side with officers, built strong relationships in our communities, and earned the trust of the people I’ve served.
I believe the Sheriff’s Office should be professional, accountable, and most importantly, truly connected to the communities. As your Sheriff, I will focus on practical training and a common-sense approach to modern policing so our deputies are prepared for the challenges we face today.
I know we’re strongest when law enforcement, first responders, schools, local governments, and our communities work together. As Sheriff, I’ll build those partnerships through open communication, mutual respect, and shared responsibility for keeping Clearwater County safe.
