Adam Gunderson is running for Sheriff to provide steady leadership, practical training, and a genuine commitment to public service in Clearwater County. With over 25 years in law enforcement and 21 years in the Minnesota National Guard, Adam has spent his career protecting and serving his community. Starting as a Patrol Officer and spending more than two decades as a Police Chief, he’s led by example, earning the trust of communities, supporting officers on the front lines, and keeping communities safe.
Adam believes the Sheriff’s Office should serve the community with professionalism and accountability. If elected, he’ll focus on practical training and modern policing to help deputies meet Clearwater County’s challenges. Adam is also dedicated to building strong partnerships with neighboring law enforcement, encouraging open communication and working together on public safety. When agencies collaborate, everyone benefits.
